In this article, the effect of temperature, pressure, and flow rate on deposition rate has been investigated by using chemical analysis method for calculating the deposit thickness and comparing to heat transfer and pressure drop methods. To do so, an experimental high pressure flow loop setup was designed and constructed to conduct various experiments. Caliper readings at the end of each test showed the chemical analysis method in comparison to the heat transfer and pressure drop methods is superior for deposit thickness calculation.  相似文献

Covalent surface immobilization of proteins for binding assays is typically performed non‐specifically via lysine residues. However, receptors that either have lysines near their binding pockets, or whose presence at the sensor surface is electrostatically disfavoured, can be hard to probe. To overcome these limitations and to improve the homogeneity of surface functionalization, we adapted and optimized three different enzymatic coupling strategies (4′‐phosphopantetheinyl transferase, sortase A, and asparaginyl endopeptidase) for biolayer interferometry surface modification. All of these enzymes can be used to site‐specifically and covalently ligate proteins of interest via short recognition sequences. The enzymes function under mild conditions and thus immobilization does not affect the receptors’ functionality. We successfully employed this enzymatic surface functionalization approach to study the binding kinetics of two different receptor–ligand pairs.  相似文献

Abstract

Graphene is emerged as a highly sought after reinforcing filler for epoxy matrix in view of its superior electrical, mechanical and thermal properties. Dispersion of low concentration of graphene can significantly enhance the epoxy/graphene nanocomposites properties. Dispersion of graphene in epoxy matrix depends on processing protocols used, and interfacial interaction between epoxy matrix and graphene. Interfacial interaction between epoxy matrix and graphene can be achieved by covalent and non-covalent modification of graphene. This paper comprehensively review the influence of different processing protocols adopted for the processing of epoxy/graphene nanocomposites, and its effect on mechanical, thermal and electrical properties. In addition, covalent and non-covalent strategies adopted for modification of graphene, and its influence on mechanical, thermal and electrical properties of epoxy/graphene nanocomposites are extensively discussed. The future challenges associated with graphene reinforced epoxy nanocomposites processing have been discussed.  相似文献

Abstract

Using supercritical water oxidation, the cation exchange resin was decomposed fast and completely to water, carbon dioxide and sulfuric acid. While the resin decomposition yield increased with the reaction time and the amount of hydrogen peroxide added as oxidizing agent, it was constant in the resin concentration from 0.14 to 1.9 dry resin weight percent to water. More than 99% of the cation exchange resin was decomposed with hydrogen peroxide added in the amount of 7 times the stoichiometric value at 673 K and 30MPa for 30 minutes of the reaction time. The cation exchange resin is decomposed through two main reaction pathways. One has a rate controlling intermediate such as acetic acid whose decomposition rate was very slow, and the other does not have stable intermediates. The decomposition of the acetic acid is a significant factor for the complete decomposition of the resin, although it does not dominate the whole resin decomposition. A simple kinetic model that estimates the resin decomposition yield was developed.  相似文献

Nano-Sb2O3 particles and brominated epoxy resin (BEO) powders were dispersed in poly (butylene terephthalate) (PBT) by high energy ball milling (HEBM). Then the nanocomposites were prepared by a twin screw extruder. The influence of the nano-Sb2O3 particles on the crystallization, thermal stability, flame retardancy and mechanical properties of the PBT/BEO/nano-Sb2O3 composites were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), limiting oxygen index (LOI), UL-94 tests and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results showed that the nano-Sb2O3 particles improved the crystallizability, thermal stability and flame retardancy properties of the PBT/BEO/nano-Sb2O3 composites. When the content of nano-Sb2O3 particles was 2.0?wt%, the LOI of nano-Sb2O3/BEO/PBT composites increased from 22.0 to 27.8 and the tensile strength reached its maximum value (62.44?MPa), which indicated that the optimum value of flame retardancy and mechanical properties of PBT/BEO/nano-Sb2O3 composites were obtained.  相似文献
